PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

FN2® suspension is used in both outside and inside applications. After the application, a mineral photocatalytic protective layer with a high content of nano titanium dioxide is formed. The coating effectively reduces organic and inorganic pollutants, viruses, bacteria, and other micro-organisms in the air. FN2® is a certified product designed to treat and protect concrete surface against erosive activities of algae, mildew, lichen, and mosses. The FN2®  photocatalytic surface demonstrated a long-term protection and even after five years, no diminishing  of its functionality has been observed. The applied layer is frost resistant. The FN2® adhesion to concrete is 3.4 MPa. Normally, no penetration is needed before FN2® application.

FN2® product has been optimized for air treatment and is certified for concrete surfaces as well.

FN2® is semi transparent. White-hue coating is formed on the treated surface.

Major criteria during the development of FN2® were the safety and easy use. FN2® is an entirely harmless and customer friendly product. It contains no aggressive chemical substances, is pH neutral, completely inert and non-irritating. For these reasons, it is exceptionally suitable for indoor use.

Thin FN2® layer works as an highly effective air cleaner. The function is activated by the presence of UV light. The effectiveness of cleaning process is dependent on intensity of ultraviolet light and turbulence of the airflow. 1m2 of FN2® photocatalytic area  is capable to clean the air of kilograms of impurities in one year.

NOTE: FN® Indoor applications require a sufficient amount of UV light. However, glass window panes transmit only a little portion of the UV contained in the day light. Modern windows with special surface treatment transmit no UV radiation at all. Therefore, it is always necessary to check for the presence and intensity of the light with a sensitive UV meter. UV minimum intensity of 0.2W/m2 is needed for proper function of the FN® photocatalytic coating. If such values are not reached, a sufficient artificial source of UV light must be installed. Sources of soft, long wave UVA must be used for activation of the coating. The optimal activation wavelength is 365nm.

· The strong sterilizing effect of photoactive surfaces in combination with germicidal UVB lamps can be utilized in health facilities to create a perfectly sanitary environment.

· FN2® is a green product with a high effectiveness of the NOx and other exhaust emissions removal

Recommended application:

Ideal for indoor applications:

· disposal of allergens and other dangerous substances contained in the air

· elimination of unpleasant and irritating interior odors

· reduction of the risk of viral and bacterial infections transmission in interiors (coating on inner walls and ceilings in flats, public areas, health-care facilities, school buildings, offices, industrial plants and animal farms)

Suitable outdoor applications:

· Provides the most effective air-cleaning (combination with FN1®possible)

· anti-graffiti effect (5–6 layers of FN2®coating)

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:  FN® =  second level of emissions control

Today’s approach is to reduce emissions by controlling the source. Photocatalysis and use of FN® represents the second level of emission control and allows effective and highly economical air cleaning of very low concentrations of pollutants. Pollutants in micro or nano mole concentrations are impossible to filter, separate by adsorption, absorption or other common technique.  Simple collision of the contaminated air with the illuminated FN® surface destroys these harmful molecules and converts them into harmless mineral compounds, mostly water and CO2.
